Thanks for the questions! Here are a few of them...

    Bobby Dyckman asks:

Q: When you write your songs do you usually write lyrics or music first?

A: Well, I don't really have a formula for how I write a song every time. Sometimes I start with a melody, sometimes a lyric, and sometimes some music. I always carry a recorder around with me because different melodies and lyrics often come to me when I'm not thinking about songwriting at all, but when I'm just doing something else. I've even written a couple of songs where I start with the title and work from that. Good songwriting isn't a science. It's an art. That's one of the reasons why I love it so much, though. Sometimes it's about working hard at a song for hours until you get it right, and sometimes it's just about being ready when that moment of inspiration hits.

Q: What is your favorite movie, tv show, and album from this year?

A: Well, I'm a big Harry Potter fan, so that movie would have to be my favorite of this year, so far. It's a great ending to a great series.

My favorite TV show is definitely Breaking Bad. I just got into it about a month ago, and it's absolutely brilliant. The best thing I've seen on television, and I mean that.

Choosing a favorite album is always a hard thing to do, even if it's just choosing an album from one year (that isn't even over yet). I'm going to have to settle on two because I love them both so much. One is the self-titled album from The Belle Brigade, and the second is the (sort of) self-titled Bon Iver record. Good stuff.
